is thoroughly devoted to patient care, and a big part of that effort begins with a team of professionals dedicated to continuing
educational advancement. Trained to administer leading edge dental hygiene therapies, each of our team members brings unique
talents and skills to our office, gaining personal fulfillment in working with our spa guests.
Cheryl Erickson,
Registered Dental Hygienist and Licensed Esthetician “Smiles, LLC has breathed new life into my career as a dental hygienist. I love the passion
and work ethic of hygienists and want to promote them every chance I get, and now I get to do it for a living!” Cheryl Erickson RDH is the owner and CEO of Smiles, LLC. She graduated from the University of
New Mexico in 1982 and has practiced in California, New Mexico, Colorado and Zurich, Switzerland. Cheryl has developed ergonomic
seating for dental clinicians and continues working for the comfort of dental hygienists. She lives in
Aspen, Colorado with her husband Tom and daughter Danielle. She loves skiing, mountain biking, camping
and interior decorating.

Karen Walker MS
“Being a part of Smiles,

is stimulating. High quality hygiene staffing is the wave of the future and I
love to surf!”
Karen is our Chief of Operations and “mental hygienist”. She graduated
with a BS in Psychology and an MS in Human Development. Karen has been instrumental
in the development of Smiles, LLC and continues overseeing operations. Karen
lives in Carbondale
with her daughter Katie and her “office dog” Sam. She likes to hike,
bike, cook and garden.

Cheryl Bilberry RDH, CMT
“Smiles, LLC has provided
me with the opportunity to make my own hours, and to have “fill-in” hygienist, so I get to enjoy my other home
in Costa Rica”
Cheryl has been practicing since
1976 when she received her degree at Owens Technical
College in Toledo, Ohio. Cheryl also has a BA with a major in biology and obtained her certified massage therapist
degree in 1999 and now trains our assistants, who perform massage and reflexology. She
and her husband B.W. live in Carbondale Colorado but spend
3 months every year at their other home in Costa Rica.
Cheryl loves sailboat racing, dancing, drumming, hiking and birding.
Leslie
Melody, RDH

offices is stimulating!”
Leslie graduated in 2006 from Colorado Northwestern
Community College where she was awarded by the Western Society of Periodontology. She is currently Vice President of the
Western Slope region of the Colorado Dental Hygiene Association. Leslie was a
dental assistant for 10 years, 5 of which were spent with the U.S.
Airforce, and specialized in orthodontic therapy. She lives in Newcastle, Colorado with her husband Frank.
Saloise Matkin, RDH, DDS

has kept me on top of the latest technology and procedures for today, giving me both experience and feedback which is invaluable
in today’s advancing periodontal therapies.”
“Sally” has been a
dentist since 1988 working in both private practice and public health. She also
has a degree in dental hygiene and worked as a hygienist for 10 years. She is
working as a hygienist for Smiles, and loves it! Sally lives in Aspen,
Colorado.
Jodi
Welch RDH
“I am passionate about life, I love people, and I believe that the more you give
of yourself, the more room you create to invent possibilities for yourself and others. Smiles LLC, has given me the opportunity
to express myself with exceptional customer service.” Jodi graduated in 1980 with an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from
the Loyola
University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Jodi has been a mentor and friend
of Smiles, LLC since its inception and is head of our promotions department. Her
entrepreneurial endeavors have led her to owning her own Gift Basket business and she currently has an advertising sales position,
consulting on promotional marketing for corporations and individuals.
Johnna Modene CMT, CMO
“Smiles, LLC has allowed
me to practice my craft of massage therapy while at the same time learning new skills as a hygiene assistant, and I get rewarded
financially for both!”
Johnna has been a certified massage
therapist since1988. She helped develop the protocols for massage and reflexology
of our patients during their teeth cleanings and continues working for Smiles on a part time basis. She lives in Basalt Colorado with her husband Mark. She loves teaching dance and is currently training for her 4th degree black belt in SooBahkDo.
Layla Philen

Layla has been working with Smiles,
LLC since 2006 where she was trained in dental assisting and massage therapy. Originally
from Sydney, Australia, Layla now lives
in Snowmass, Colorado with
her husband Dennis and her son Liam.
